About the NRFSA
The National Retail Federation Student Association was founded in 2016 with a mission to advance the interest of the retail industry through advocacy, communication, and education.
We aim to work with students of all majors who are passionate about the retail industry and students working towards developing their professional careers.
The NRFSA hosts a variety of events where students can connect and network with professionals in the retail industry as well as develop their career skills. Past events have included corporate company tours, guest speakers ranging from small business owners to large retail corporate executives, and alumni panels.
Our student group also takes an annual trip to New York City to attend the National Retail Foundation annual conference, Retail's Big Show.

Whether you're a freshman interested in learning about the retail industry or a senior looking to build your network and career, the NRFSA is the organization for you.

NRFSA at the University of Minnesota is one of many National Retail Foundation-associated collegiate student organizations nationwide. The National Retail Federation is composed of executive leadership from a wide range of retail companies, meeting annually to discuss trends in the industry and provide opportunities to students interested in a career with a retail corporation through the NRF Foundation. As an NRF Student Association, we host events for students to explore, learn about, and prepare for an internship or job in a retail store, corporation, or as an entrepreneur. Together, we offer leadership positions and scholarship opportunities. All majors, including Accounting, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Apparel Design, Communications, Marketing, and more, can find opportunities in retail.
